The first National Paddleboard Championship will take place in Punta de Mita Sayulita on June 7 - 10. The event will be open to Mexican competitors in several categories, hoping to attract the finest athletes in this increasingly popular sport.Organizers are anticipating an attendance of over 60 participants, currently members of the Mexican Surfing Federation. A series of additional events, such as a beachwear fashion show and a live music concert, are also in the works and will be announced in the near future.

The organizers are also looking for potential sponsors. The current sponsor list includes Corona, Punta Mita Sayulita, Lunazul, Panga Surf, Teitiare Estate, Pacific Paddle, Kupuri Hotel and Stand Up Paddle México.

www.urbansurf4kids.org purpose is teach children not only to swim and surf, most importantly we can use this opportunity to teach the value of giving back to their community. Our swim lessons, surf camps and time has price. As we have committed to giving back, we ask the students involved to sign an agreement that they will give back to their community. This is the model that can promote change.
